W&H showcased multiple solutions at Chinaplas 2021

Last month, the 34th International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition or Chinaplas 2021 was held in Shenzhen. Packaging machinery manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) showcased the latest extrusion, printing and processing solutions during the exhibition.

In its film applications, Windmöller & Hölscher demonstrated its entire machine product portfolio. It showcased recyclable MDO-PE film, PET substitutes, CPP and barrier films at the W&H booth at Chinaplas 2021. According to the company, some of the hot topics in industrial packaging are the complete PP braiding machine used to produce hot air sealed block bottom valve bags, which will be standardized as one of China's cement packaging standards.

Another technology that has attracted much attention is AD Plastic II for waterproof PE valve bags. It is also manufactured using hot air technology and is widely used in the packaging of powdered products.

W&H also displayed the Garant bag-making machine for paper making and a bag-making machine from Bäumer & Bäumer (B&B) for side gusset bags with resealing and in-line bag insertion at the booth.

"A radically positive market development, and there is an obvious trend of more sustainability. During this exhibition, we did not feel any signs of market cooling," said Dai Jinghui, general manager (WCN).

About 3,600 exhibitors and 152.134 visitors gathered in an area of 350.000 square meters. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, almost only tourists from China attended the exhibition.
